Impel Systems Srl operates as a consulting and design company mainly in the area of electrical energy production and distribution.

This consists mainly in the drawing up of preliminary and executive projects, equipped, where required, with the technical specifications for the materials and equipment acquisition, for the control, protection and supervision systems design and implementation, for the assembly and for the start up of hydro-electric plants and power stations; moreover, the company carries out consultancy services on the problems inherent in electrical engineering and for the organization and execution of personnel training courses.

In Italy Impel Systems works with ENEL and with first class construction and plant engineering companies for the design and the start up of plants and HHV/HV/MV substations. Impel Systems has professional experience in the following fields.

Hydroelectric power plants

  • Total renewing or refurbishing of plant (civil, mechanic and electric)
  • Partial renewing of plant (existing groups automation and supervision)
  • Developing of preliminary, final, detail design of electro-mechanic system (up to realization)
  • Technical specifications and material list definition for electro-mechanic systems and components tenders
  • Operating manuals for the following test phases:

  • Stability analisys of electrical-turbodiesel generating plants due to external electric network disturbances: monitoring and recording of the network behavior and production of proposal reports to protect the plants

High-voltage power distribution stations

  • Total plant design (civil, mechanical and electrical), with switchyard and sections lay-out definition
  • Detail civil design of all support structures (basements, oil traps, ecc.) and control buildings
  • Mechanical detail design for all substation support structures (gantries, columns, ecc.)
  • Definition and choice of all electrical equipments, with electrical simulation software for the evaluation of to the possible short circuit fault currents for the correct dimensioning of components
